Annual Maintenance Benefits

Annual Maintenance

The best investment to protect your investment

There is nothing better for your heating and/or air conditioning system than annual maintenance. Annual maintenance allows your system to work at peak efficiency year in and year out. A system that is maintained annually experiences considerably fewer breakdowns.

This will help to eliminate possible future costly repairs. You’ll enjoy the peace of mind in knowing that your system is saving you money on your utility bills every time it comes on. In some instances, the energy savings are enough to pay the cost of the planned annual maintenance service.

The precision tune-up specialist who maintains your equipment will thoroughly check it for safety and operational efficiency, tune it up for maximum fuel efficiency, and inspect it for potential faults. This saves you money by reducing your fuel bill, by avoiding costly breakdowns, and by prolonging the life of your equipment.

Some of the areas that our technician will check and make adjustments during a "Planned Maintenance Program" includes:

  • Test Thermostat
  • Safety controls & limits
  • Ignition system
  • Flame sensor or thermocouple condition
  • Inducer motor operation
  • Gas valve operation
  • Gas manifold pressure
  • Main Blower Assembly Operation and Condition
  • Condition, tension, alignment of fan belt
  • Ventilation operation
  • Inspection of heat exchanger
  • Condition of burner tubes
  • CO test
  • Air filter condition
  • Furnace temperature rise
  • Combustion air intake
  • Furnace venting
  • Condensate piping
  • Condensate pump operation
  • Humidifier operation/condition

Air conditioner:

To service the Air Conditioner, we recommend that A/C maintenance is completed when the outdoor temperature is 16°C or higher for the Greater Calgary area. Testing and completing maintenance on an AC at this temperature will allow us to turn on your AC and ensure that it is working the way that it should!

The A/C Performance Tune up includes:

  • Check voltage, amperage & temperature split across the evaporator and condenser coils
  • Check thermostat operation
  • Check compressor operation
  • Check for correct air flow
  • Check refrigerant level
  • Check operation of condensate drain
  • Check condition of condenser coil
  • Check overall condition of system
  • Check condition of air filter
