We are extremely happy with everything done by Distinct! From the first meeting with Nate to the install with Jordan and Aidan.We felt that Nate took the time to actually assess our furnace and taught us some things that we didn’t even realize about furnaces, he clearly is very knowledgeable! (We didn’t get this with any of the other companies we got quotes from)Jordan and Aidan did the install of the furnace and a/c. They were fast, friendly and knowledgeable as well. They were even done a day earlier than we expected! The furnace room was clean and everything was installed “tightly” and looks amazing.Erin, the office manager, was also fast to reply to my emails and friendly!As for the products, compared to our 30+ year old furnace, the new furnace is SO quiet and the temperature is more even throughout our home. They always do fantastic work that is installed correctly the first time and they stand behind their quote.When the original furnace died in my new (older) house Jordan and Aidan arrived quickly, and had the new furnace installed before the weather got really cold. As always it was done with great workmanship and full walk-through of all the new features and how to best use them.I did quotes from 2 other companies but with Distinct you also get a bit of an education how the job should be done. Distinct Heating and Cooling recently installed a new furnace in our home. Nate gave us a comprehensive quote and answered all our questions. Prior to the installation, Distinct sent us several reminders of the install date. Kristian and Jaden did a great install. They arrived on time, explained everything during the install, kept the work area clean and were finished on time. They tidied up some messy work from previous contractors, and made sure all the equipment was up to code. Afterwards the utility room equipment looked much cleaner. They explained how to work everything. We are very impressed with Distinct Heating and Cooling and highly recommend them.

Where do we start about all the good things to say about Jordan and Distinct Heating & Cooling? When our furnace completely stopped working, we realized the timing was after hours. We called and Jordan answered the after-hours line without delay. Call it business-sense, customer service, or both, Jordan genuinely tried to help us economically over the phone before doing a call-out. He provided the amount for the call-out, gave an estimate of when he would arrive, and went through what seemed to be mental list of checkboxes as he checked the connections to be all okay. Afterwards, the furnace came on! For how long the furnace would continue working we did not know. Jordan advised replacement of a control board for which he really did what he could to get one at that time.Jordan advised what to do in case the furnace stopped overnight. He gave an estimate of when he might be able to come by the next day to replace the control board. Though he was booked the next morning, what a pleasant surprise that his schedule allowed him to come by in the morning! Thank you so much, Jordan, for getting our furnace working again! We are so appreciative of Jordan’s education and knowledge of furnace operation (and thermostats) and that Distinct Heating & Cooling was neither the least expense nor the most expensive company, especially on the evening before the coldest days of the week/weekend. In October 2019 we replaced our furnace and air conditioner using the services of another local HVAC company but we encountered a number of installation and warranty issues. In early 2021 we contacted Distinct Heating, another York dealer, and Distinct were able to correct the installation and warranty issues.Since that time we have relied exclusively on Nate’s team at Distinct for our annual furnace and AC servicing. The work performed by Distinct is always very professional, done right the first time and their pricing is very competitive. Our only regret is not having gone with Nate and his Distinct team do the initial supply and installation. Without any reservations we would recommend Distinct Heating & Cooling for furnace and air conditioner replacement, and servicing.

Nate, Kristian, and the team did an HVAC overhaul for me. I got a cold climate heat pump, back-up furnace, heat recovery ventilator, and air filtration system - and it all went into the smallest mechanical room you've ever seen.Nate didn't try to upsell me and helped me understand the pros and cons of different options. Kristian led the work on installation and was unfailing friendly and polite. They left my home spotless, and the work is excellent. The heat pump and backup furnace are all working beautifully and the wiring and ducting is the cleanest I've ever seen. Not only is my house warm, but we don't get nearly as much temperature variation between floors. Truly impressed.

We recently bought a home and wanted to make sure our furnace was ready for winter. Day of appointment I was notified via text and email saying our tech was on the way. I love that they included a picture of them so you know who to expect. Ed came and was able to answer all our questions. As new homeowners we had lots of questions and he took the time to explain things to us. He serviced our furnace and was able to troubleshoot an issue with one of the wires in our thermostat. Once he was done he gave us a run-down of what he saw, what he recommends, and next steps. Definitely will book them again and hopefully we get Ed!

As the temperatures dropped in the fall, I discovered my furnace wasn’t coming on. I hadn’t needed it all summer so realize earlier that there was an issue. Distinct had installed this new furnace relatively recently, and I have had their technician Ed de Garacia out for annual maintenance since then, so I wasn’t overly concerned. I assumed the issue would be a quick and easy fix.I called Distinct and they quickly put me in their Service queue. Ed arrived right on time, and we were shocked to discover my furnace issues were likely caused by someone deliberately vandalizing the equipment. It’s a bit of a story around this…suffice to say Ed, working with (owner) Nate Burlando, was able to quickly and efficiently get my furnace repaired and operating safely and reliably.The damage caused to my furnace was extensive and repairs were going to be expensive. I knew that but very much appreciated Ed’s advocacy on my behalf with Nate, and Nate’s understanding, support and willingness to work with me to get my furnace fixed and operating in a safe and reliable manner at a very reasonable cost.I was glad to originally have selected Distinct Heating and Cooling for my new furnace and was extremely impressed with their workmanship and attention to detail on the install. Jordan our technician arrive on time, all coordinated by Erin and text messages when he was on the way even though he arrived on perfect time. Work was carried out and Jordan takes pain to clean up around all the equipment. Money well spent for carefree trouble free hvac operation.+++This firm is simply amazing folks.
