Nate and the whole team at Distinct Heating were a real pleasure to work with. This company goes above and beyond to provide an excellent outcome. Before starting our complicated, post-construction addition of mini-split heat pumps/air conditioners, Nate worked with us to find the best routes to accomplish the job, while limiting the number of walls we had to breach! Nate took the time to map out the details, and we are reaping the benefits. Every member of the team was courteous, conscientious and worked at the highest caliber. We just had Distinct Heating & Cooling come to our home to look into the thermostat issues we were having. This was installed 10 years ago along with our AC unit (which was also purchased from Distinct Heating & Cooling). From the moment we received the text that Aiden was on his way to the moment he left I felt very much taken care of. He went through the steps of trying to figure out why our thermostat wasn't working and after going through his trouble shooting, he let us know that things seemed to be working again. We fully intended on having to replace it but Aiden was very open about the fact that it may not actually need replacing and he'd hate for us to spend the money to do so when it might not need it. So instead of doing that, he ended up servicing our unit and replaced some much needed parts (Guys... if you haven't been diligent about servicing your AC unit... do it... I swear ours was about to launch itself into space before Aiden came and cleaned it up).Aiden, thank you so much for all the information you gave us, for explaining things so clearly (and then re-explaining it when I couldn't remember certain terms, and then doing it all over again when I rendered my understanding useless and just called my hubby for you to explain it to him directly so that he'd understand).I am extremely grateful for such Aiden's amazing customer service, his patience, and his diligence in making everything run smoothly again.Well done!

We were very happy with the support the owner, Nathan, provided in scoping and planning the job. We are also pleased with his commitment to ongoing support and service once the job is complete. Nate and his team of Kristian, Jaden, and Aidan did an amazing job of our hot water, furnace, and A/C install. This has been the best experience with contractors I have had. The communication was excellent. Email, text, and voice mail. I also appreciate that they would send a picture of the person coming to our house. I can not recommend Distinct Heating & Cooling enough. They were amazing. They left the house in better shape when they left and did a through walk through after everything was done. I had several companies through for ideas on how best to approach my home's heating and cooling. I had two pretty new furnaces put in by a previous owner. Those were put in by Alberta Indoor Comfort and they did a terrible job and were outright unethical in their response to any challenge by me. Luckily, around the time I was about to make a decision, I found Distinct's work in a neighbour's home and was very impressed with how neat and tidy their work was...so I gave them a call and away we went. The 2 furnaces were removed, replaced by a new one, a zoning system, and a heat pump for cooling (and mild heating for now). It's as good as it gets now. Thanks to the team for their diligence and attention to detail.

We decided it was time to install AC in the home, and Nate from Distinct came over and walked us thru the traditional AC units, or York's new Heat Pump. This being a quiet and a smaller unit not taking up a lot of real estate on the side of the house, sold us. Kristian, Aidan and Jaiden were the team to install, and were all very polite and knowledgable. They left a very clean worksite , and with a tutorial of how to work our new thermostat. Nate did a followup and sent us a checklist for maintenance of both our new heat pump and our York furnace. I will definitely will set up maintenance appointments with distinct to make sure our investment stays in tip top form . One can't go wrong with choosing Distinct and all the employees that Nate has working for him.

We had the fan on our Furnace/ AC break down Monday night in late June. I was referred to Distinct Heating and Cooling by a competitor, as the competitor was not an authorized York dealer.I called Erin at Distinct around 9:30 AM Working with Erin was quick and straightforward and and she scheduled Aidan to come out between 2-3 PM that same day. I was thrilled to be able to secure a same-day appointment as the weather was starting to get hot.I received a text about 30 minutes before Aidan's arrival and he arrived right on time. After assessing the issue, he determined that the furnace's ECM blower motor needed to be replaced and that he would need to go get the part. This was about 4 PM and I expected that Aidan would have to come back the next day to finish the job. However, that was not the case. Aidan quickly confirmed his supplier had the right motor in stock, drove across the city in rush hour traffic and then returned and finished the repair, which took him until about 6:30 that evening.While we were charged the agreed up cost of the service call, we were not charged overtime or anything else for the extra time. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the service we received.Great job Erin and Aidan!! We have already booked our next scheduled maintenance call with Distinct Heating and Cooling.

I very recently had some HVAC work done by Distinct at my home and I am was very impressed by not only the quality of the equipment that was installed, but by the quality of work that was done, from the initial visit by Nate for the estimate, along with a VERY detailed and thorough run through of the equipment that would be installed and the level of workmanship one can expect from Distinct, to the very high quality of work done on the installation by Nate's crew, Kristian and Jaden. A++ work, fellas!If quality of workmanship is a priority for anyone looking at getting similar work done, then look no further than Distinct.My scope of work included the replacement of a 20+ year old mid-efficient gas furnace with a high-efficient modulating York gas furnace along with a York air-source heat pump. We had never had AC at our house before and I was intrigued by the concept of a cold climate rated heat pump, not only being able to reduce our carbon footprint, but also perhaps leveraging cheaper electricity rates to heat our home during cooler weather with the ASHP, and cool our home during the summer months.Thank you Distinct for all of the great work! Kristian and Jaden did a great job installing our new heat pump and high efficiency modulating furnace. Very courteous and professional, and a nice, clean install inside and out. They also integrated the new condensate drains with existing condensate and humidifier drains, to a new single outflow pipe to the floor drain.

This is the best company we have ever used for our furnace and AC. They replaced our furnace and trained us on the new thermostat. The place is even cleaner now than it was before they came. Kristian and Jordan were here alone most of the day and we had no concerns. Everyone that works with Distinct is trustworthy, professional and REALLY REALLY well trained. Just had Distinct Heating & Cooling team replace our furnace and complete a heat pump install. From the first meeting with Nate to the install with Jordan and Aidan.We felt that Nate took the time to actually assess our furnace and taught us some things that we didn’t even realize about furnaces, he clearly is very knowledgeable! (We didn’t get this with any of the other companies we got quotes from)Jordan and Aidan did the install of the furnace and a/c. They were fast, friendly and knowledgeable as well. They were even done a day earlier than we expected! I've been using Distinct Heating and Cooling for over 10 years now. They always do fantastic work that is installed correctly the first time and they stand behind their quote.When the original furnace died in my new (older) house Jordan and Aidan arrived quickly, and had the new furnace installed before the weather got really cold. As always it was done with great workmanship and full walk-through of all the new features and how to best use them.I did quotes from 2 other companies but with Distinct you also get a bit of an education how the job should be done. When some of the other companies did not include some of these steps until I asked them I knew I did not want to deal with them.If you’re looking to get the job done right the first time by people who stand behind their work contact Distinct Heating and Cooling.

Prior to the installation, Distinct sent us several reminders of the install date. Kristian and Jaden did a great install. Where do we start about all the good things to say about Jordan and Distinct Heating & Cooling? When our furnace completely stopped working, we realized the timing was after hours. We called and Jordan answered the after-hours line without delay. Call it business-sense, customer service, or both, Jordan genuinely tried to help us economically over the phone before doing a call-out. He provided the amount for the call-out, gave an estimate of when he would arrive, and went through what seemed to be mental list of checkboxes as he checked the connections to be all okay. Afterwards, the furnace came on! For how long the furnace would continue working we did not know. Jordan advised replacement of a control board for which he really did what he could to get one at that time.Jordan advised what to do in case the furnace stopped overnight. He gave an estimate of when he might be able to come by the next day to replace the control board. Though he was booked the next morning, what a pleasant surprise that his schedule allowed him to come by in the morning! Thank you so much, Jordan, for getting our furnace working again! We are so appreciative of Jordan’s education and knowledge of furnace operation (and thermostats) and that Distinct Heating & Cooling was neither the least expense nor the most expensive company, especially on the evening before the coldest days of the week/weekend. In October 2019 we replaced our furnace and air conditioner using the services of another local HVAC company but we encountered a number of installation and warranty issues. In early 2021 we contacted Distinct Heating, another York dealer, and Distinct were able to correct the installation and warranty issues.Since that time we have relied exclusively on Nate’s team at Distinct for our annual furnace and AC servicing. The work performed by Distinct is always very professional, done right the first time and their pricing is very competitive. Our only regret is not having gone with Nate and his Distinct team do the initial supply and installation. Without any reservations we would recommend Distinct Heating & Cooling for furnace and air conditioner replacement, and servicing.
